Sunlight Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and motivated Apartment Director to oversee the daily operations of our Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) in Thorp, WI. Position Summary

The Apartment Director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the community, ensuring high-quality tenant care, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, occupancy growth, and financial stewardship. This role combines healthcare oversight, team management, tenant advocacy, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Staff Management

• Recruit, train, supervise, and support caregiving staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee scheduling.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and staff accountability.
• Lead team meetings and foster a positive workplace culture.

Tenant Care & Quality of Life

• Ensure tenants receive care according to their Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
• Collaborate with care teams, families, and healthcare providers.
• Promote a safe, engaging, and supportive living environment.
• Develop monthly activity calendars tailored to resident interests and needs.

Medication & Compliance Oversight

• Oversee medication administration processes.
• Maintain communication with pharmacies and medical providers.
• Audit medication records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Keep Tenant records and electronic care plans current and compliant.

Community Operations

• Manage facility maintenance and oversee equipment and vehicle upkeep.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and staff training.
• Develop weekly meal plans and grocery orders.
• Maintain accurate incident reports and operational records.

Occupancy & Community Relations

• Build relationships with referral sources.
• Conduct assessments of prospective residents.
• Support occupancy growth through community outreach and marketing efforts.

Financial Management

• Manage operating expenses within budget guidelines.

Qualifications

• Leadership or management experience in assisted living, healthcare, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams while maintaining a tenant-centered approach.
• Experience with medication management, care planning, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation.

Schedule

• Full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week.
• Monday–Friday during regular business hours.
• On-call responsibility at least 7 days per pay period.
