We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistants to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in assisted living, memory care, and long-term care settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and fostering a supportive environment. Would required every other weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other memory-related conditions.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed and report any changes in residents' health status to the nursing staff.
• Administer medications according to established protocols and ensure proper documentation in EMR systems.
• Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident living areas and common spaces.
• Provide direct support in a respectful manner that promotes dignity and independence for all residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with caregiving practices for seniors and individuals with disabilities is essential.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals requiring memory care or dementia support is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are crucial.
• Must be able to perform cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe environment for residents.
• Experience with behavior management techniques is beneficial for supporting residents with varying needs.
