WALA is proud to announce a new partnership between the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association and Wisconsin HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)—a collaboration rooted in a shared commitment to building the next generation of healthcare leaders.
As part of this partnership, WALA attended the Wisconsin HOSA Annual Conference on April 9, 2026, in Wisconsin Dells, where more than 2,300 middle and high school students from across the state participated.
This partnership comes at a critical time, as the need for a strong and compassionate long-term care workforce continues to grow. By connecting with students early—especially those already exploring healthcare careers through HOSA, WALA is helping bridge the gap between education and employment. This collaboration creates opportunities for students to better understand the meaningful careers available in assisted living.
We were truly inspired by the students we met: bright, driven, and deeply committed to making a difference. Their professionalism and passion reinforce the importance of this partnership and the vital role it plays in shaping the future of our workforce.
WALA is especially proud to support graduating seniors through our scholarship program, recognizing students who are taking the next step in their healthcare journey. Congratulations to this year’s recipients (pictured). Your dedication and potential are remarkable, and we look forward to the impact you will make in the years ahead.
